Before the app can be translated, a handful of core terms have to be settled – for example what a key is called in your language, or a word bar. These terms then appear in hundreds of texts. A machine-translated term looks plausible, but nobody can judge whether it actually feels right – only a native speaker can. That is what this page is for.

The terms

You do not have to answer everything. Only answer where you are sure – every term is counted separately, and five confident answers help more than 25 guesses. Each term comes with a short explanation of what the thing actually does in the app; without it the term cannot be translated sensibly.

Where clickable suggestions appear, they are machine-generated and unverified. They are only there to give you something to compare against – they are explicitly not a recommendation. If none of them fits, write your own below.

Three names stay unchanged in every language: Keyboard Designer, Stickure and Swuping. They are mentioned here only so that nobody translates them with the best of intentions.
